This series of work started with a question from my online dating days that I was constantly asked, “What size are you”. Body image and size is an overwhelming issue for many people in today’s world. We are bombarded with images of the perfect body, and bullied into trying to conform to unattainable standards. In this series I address my issues with body size, body confidence and self-acceptance. The series starts with a full body life-size picture of someone not comfortable in her skin and reaches its conclusion with bright confidence. each piece intentionally squeezed onto narrow pieces of paper. These are all created with ink and charcoal.
